American Bavarian Extension Campus
Located in Regensburg, Germany, the American Bavarian Extension Campus ("AMBEX") is a fully accredited Christian Higher Education ministry to qualified and select Christian students. AMBEX provides a unique and spiritually rewarding educational experience in the Central Europe, the cradle of the Reformation – the second greatest event in church history. The integrated curriculum is united by a God-honoring biblical worldview in its presentation of Reformation history, theology, and apologetics. Courses will be academically rigorous and challenging, while enriched by enjoyable field trips to important historical sites.
Our business model mentions a consortium of 8 to 10 Christian colleges sending a prescribed number of students each semester to AMBEX. Sending schools are chosen according to affinity with AMBEX doctrine and philosophy of ministry. AMBEX provides schools with the added value of regional exclusivity in offering AMBEX to students, increasing school attractiveness to potential students, while enriching the learning and spiritual growth of existing students through participation or contact with those who have attended AMBEX.
AMBEX seeks to serve as an academic and spiritual arm of American Christian colleges and universities, committed to God's glory in all things, AMBEX is a theological academic institution, a ministry, and an extension of the church of Jesus Christ. Outside the classroom in post-Christian Europe, AMBEX will provide Gospel outreach to Europeans, as well as a ministry to local Christians in the U.S. Armed Forces and English-speaking churches. AMBEX staff, facilities, and students will be utilized for ministry well-beyond classroom coursework through various ministry opportunities.
